Concept Design
This design concept carries the theme of a Modern Industrial Laboratory with a Playful & Functional touch. This room successfully balances the professional feel of a laboratory with a relaxed atmosphere.
1. Color Palette & Materials
Dominant Colors (White & Gray): Give a clean, sterile, and spacious impression. The use of white on cabinets and walls helps distribute lighting evenly.
Contrasting Accents (Blue & Orange): The use of blue on shelves and orange pillars energizes the room so it doesn’t feel boring or too “cold”.
Materials: Work surfaces use chemical-resistant phenolic resin or dark gray epoxy that is durable and easy to clean.

2. Layout & Furniture (Lab Island Bench)
Island Bench System: Work tables are placed in the center (island) to facilitate access from various sides, maximizing collaboration between researchers.
Vertical Storage: Two-tiered shelves above the workbench utilize vertical space to store reagent bottles and glassware without taking up bench space.
Ergonomics: The use of high-stool laboratory chairs with wheels facilitates mobility for researchers who frequently move between standing and sitting positions.
3. Visual Elements & Branding
Wall Art/Mural: The addition of illustrated characters on the walls is a key element that makes this laboratory unique. This suggests that the lab may be intended for education, children’s product R&D, or simply to foster a creative work culture.
Exposed Ceiling: The open ceiling with visible cable trays and pipes gives a modern industrial feel and facilitates access for electrical/gas installation maintenance.
4. Technical Details & Utilities
Electrical Integration: Neatly installed power strips along the work table demonstrate good cable management.
Wet Area: The sink at the end of the table is equipped with a drying rack (pegboard) for glassware, ensuring a smooth workflow (wash-dry-store).
